Bravo27 Posted June 3, 2020 Report Share Posted June 3, 2020 Any news on 2021 Nautilus changes like HUD or increase in dash info screen size. Hard finding anything news worthy on the internet. Corsair and Aviator seem to be what Lincoln is concentrating on for all selling. I'm sure no outward appearance is planned but wheel options would be a big plus. My 2 yr lease on 2019 Nautilus Reserve is up in November and would like to stay with Nautilus. Cosmos36 Posted June 3, 2020 Report Share Posted June 3, 2020 The only recent news that I considered to be substantive re: the '21 Nautilus was a photo of a model displayed for the Chinese market with a modified lower front fascia and a few remarks indicating that there were few if any interior changes. That would make Lincoln's midsize 2-row more than just a little long in the tooth. Even with my fondness of my early MKX, I could lose patience waiting until late 2022 for a fresh replacement. Lincoln has a captured market with the Nautilus (MKX) if your looking for a 2 row, average wheelbase and a great engine in the 2.7 V6. I was a GM follower for years and believe me they have nothing in this category to match up to Nautilus. Little early to start my search but good to hear others take on this. Thanks. Cosmos36 Posted June 5, 2020 Report Share Posted June 5, 2020 One of the primary incentives that encouraged me to purchase the MKX was the superb (and exclusive) engineering technology featured in the 2.7L 'nano' engine. Although Lincoln's 3.0L is largely a bored & stroked clone of the 2.7L, it differs significantly with its aluminum block. My vote goes to the smaller engine's compacted graphite iron block. Genesis has earned top level dependability and service awards with prices well below Mercedes (who used to own shares of the Korean company). The price went up with the options I have on my 2019 by almost $4,000, and with the options that I would want, you have no choice to not have a trailer package, which I had on my '16 MKX, but not on my '19 because I sold my boat to a friend. I still don't like the dark gray and black coating on the wheels, all they would have to do is offer the same style wheel with a silver coating where that dark coating is now..just looks like brake dust. When it is time to trade I may have to buy a Cadillac, Buick or even a Ford to get shiny wheels that don't look dirty. I guess I could swap the shiny wheels I have on my '19 to the next one, but why should I have to do that with no options from Lincoln? Thought Genesis would be the ‘value’ proposition! I’ve had my Aviator (fully loaded $88K) since January (ordered last June!!) and while I have less than 2,000 km on it, I am thoroughly unimpressed Lincoln can’t screw a car together any better than that. Lease after lease I keep hoping for improvement and still keep coming away disappointed. Powertrain-wise, however, it’s amazing! And the air suspension with road preview, wow! I took a group there in the early 70's. As we were watching the cars come off the line, there was one car that just dropped the entire front bumper and had to be quickly moved out of the way. I realize this is not a final production line photo. Seems to be all over the industry as I hear the new MDX is pushed into Feb. 2021. Still think Nautilus has a captured market with 2.7 V6, 2 row and a good value on what you get. Guess I agree that maybe the future Nautilus will be in the BEV's family.
