HotRod
Wheels and tires doesn't seem to be a hot topic here, but I'll ask anyway ... Has anybody upgraded to a 275/45/20 tire on a slightly wider wheel? I think an 8.5" wheel with a 35 to 45 offset should work fine, but I want to be sure I won't have any rubbing issues at full lock. Thanks in advance.
Adam
FWIW 265/40/21s come stock on the 2.7T models up here in Canada so you wouldn't be TOO far off, depending on o/s. Not sure what the stock offset is on the 21s though. HotRod
HotRod
^Thanks. Tire Rack thought they would fit, but I was concerned about rubbing at full lock. Rather than roll the dice, I went with 255/50/20's on 9" wide Ace Devotion wheels. I'm quite pleased with the results.
enigma-2
They look great. How would you rate the ride? HotRod
HotRod
They look great. How would you rate the ride? The ride remains excellent. The tires are Michelin Premier LTXs, which are a significant upgrade over the stock Hankooks. And with a bit more sidewall, they fill the wheel wells better and provide a tad more cushioning. The speedo is off about 1 mph when cruising at 75, which I can live with.
