anzio
Hey there, I've been lurking the forum ever since I found myself looking into a Lincoln MKX. This is my first car purchase on my own; however, I'm planning on buying it from the dealer my dad always deals with who seems to give us a pretty good deal that we're usually happy with. That said, I wouldn't be against getting some numbers from the experts on here just so I know a good starting place. I'm planning on buying in Toronto, but I reside in Barrie and am willing to travel. Looking at: 2017 Lincoln MKX Reserve - 2.7L GTDI Engine ($2,950) - 13 speaker Revel Audio ($1,250) - Technology Package ($1,100) - Enhanced Security (seems like worthwhile features for just $75, but I really don't have an interest in it) - Midnight Blue Sapphire - Cappuccino seats (from what I can tell, this is free in Canada) Trading in a 2011 Ford Escape Limited V6 with Nav. I would prefer to take delivery from factory rather than lot, which I know probably gives up some of my bargaining chips. From what I've read, 4-5% off MSRP seems to be the minimum/expected range. Any tips? This still looks like the best looking car on the road in my opinion. Also looking for any input on the 13 speaker Revel Audio system. I test drove the base system and it sounds great. Is the 13 speaker Revel worth the $1,250? Looks like MSRP with freight is about $57,875. Thanks in advance for any advice you can give to a complete newbie! NOTMY911
$2000 off if you have a Costco Executive card ($1000 for the normal card), ends on the 30th of June. You mentioned you have the card after you work out a deal. https://www.costco.ca/costco-vehicle-program.html
NOTMY911
When I got my 2016, the invoice price was at 95% of the MSRP price. Is that for the 102A package? Also you might want to consider the Driver Assistance Package.

Also you might want to consider the Driver Assistance Package. Thanks for the replies! This definitely helps give me some direction. Yes, it's the 102A Reserve package + the other options I mentioned. Did you end up doing the Driver Assistance Package, and do you find it worthwhile? My primary concern right now for that is the production delay that is present on MKX's ordered with the assistance package. EDIT: Just saw your signature and noticed that you did get the assistance package. Oops! Sidestep here: Are you still happy with your MKX? Did you get your 2016 before this past winter? Were you pretty happy with its performance in snow/other crappy weather? Edited May 19, 2017 by anzio
NOTMY911
... EDIT: Just saw your signature and noticed that you did get the assistance package. Oops! Sidestep here: Are you still happy with your MKX? Did you get your 2016 before this past winter? Were you pretty happy with its performance in snow/other crappy weather? I'm I happy... I was happy with my 2013 and very happy with the 2016 and probably will be with the next one. No problem with both of them in the winter as I had winter tire on their own rim for both cars. Are you a CAF retired member? Once you get in the $50K range do not short your self by not getting the "all the bell and whistle" version. The MKX is the best value there is. The Porsche Macan (which I drive on a race rack) with the same options is about $20K more... Nice car but I'm not paying that price. If it comes to money available, no doubt I would pass (which I did but not related to $) the Turbo option. If you want to discussed more send me a PM with you phone # and I'll call you.
