Nosebleed
OK I have used lots of your suggestions. We have decided on all the extras. 2017 Lincoln Reserve FWD 2.7L V6 GTDI, 6-sp auto. Extras as follows: EXT: White Platinum 695; Tech Pkg 1720: Driver. Asst Pkg 2250; INT: Hazelnut Seats 375; Cargo Utility Pkg. 365; Climate Pkg 620; All Weather Floor Mats 120; 22-Way Fr Seats 1500 (ouch); Revel Audio with 13 Spkrs 1155. The Dealer came down 4.75 % off MSRP with another $500 bucks, maybe yes, maybe no, their offer not mine. I have yet to make an offer. I don't want to nit pick the extras so it's probably best to leave them alone and go after the total price. I could sell my Kia for more then the dealers offered but need to look into how the sales tax works. It's really high in Washington St. Any Ideas you folks have let me know. I can't order it till I buy it I guess they are saying eight to ten weeks. When the deal is done I will tell you the final numbers. Stay Tuned, Nose Bleed Yes, the 22 way front seats are not cheap, but worth every cent, especially if you have long legs-you can extend the seat bottom for more support. Oh, and did I mention how sweet the power headrest's are ?
enigma-2
Can you file for an excise tax credit for the unused portion on your Kia? One time while buying a car from a dealer, I decided to pay the sales tax at the license bureau. Did this because the dealer wold have included the invoice price with all the extras and the DMV just looks in the book at the base. Forgot what the difference was, but it was significant. Nosebleed
Enigma-2 I'm not getting what you mean. What would be the unused portion of my Kia? Do you mean you would let the Kia go to the dealer but you would pay the sales tax on the Kia and then pay whats left on the MKX to the dealer. EX: 16000 value for Kia to state by me. Dealer collects rest from me and pays state? Nosebleed
akirby
I show x plan for that combination as $53,894 before incentives. That means dealer invoice is around $51,900 give or take. X plan for Lincoln is invoice + 0.6% + $275. For your zip code it shows an additional $1500 in Ford rebates for a final X plan price of $52, 394. But the dealer websites only show $500. You'll have to get the dealer to check Vincent to see what you're actually eligible for. My suggestion is to offer no more than $54K minus whatever incentives you qualify for, plus no more than $100 doc fee.
Nosebleed
I bought the Lincoln MKX Reserve today. MSRP is $59,780 Dealers Invoice was $45,172 , Options $10,579 = $55,751 Dealer invoice $55,751. Couple things happened that make this hard to follow, our moderator crunched the numbers I gave him and came up with $54000 which is what I used as a guide. First of all I didn't put in the $2000 for the all wheel drive or the 925 destination fee. The dealer didn't have the $2000 AWD either but I found a copy of where I had changed it. I'm $1751 above my 54K target. If I would have given our Mod the 2925 he probably would have been real close. The other thing that dropped the price is the fact that once you get to the dealer invoice all the options are reduced about 12% so that helped me get closer to my 54K target. The Sales manager was locked in on the price $55751. So I said well we'll need to go home and think it over, cause I have two other dealers waiting (true) to hear from me. I said why don't you give me a couple thousand more on my trade in. He said how about one thousand more. I said OK. He went out to look at my trade again. At that point the salesman said I'm going to pay the 751 out of my commission. You can't make up a story like that. So I paid the exact amount Moderator Akirby said 54K less incentives. Thanks to all who had Ideas Nosebleed
NOTMY911
Congratulation. You won't regret going over "target" for more "bell and whistle" that are great.
cafpaf
Nosebleed, I am old and confuse easily. What exactly did you pay? Does the 54K price include any Lincoln incentives or did you also get to deduct the incentives from the 54K thus making your price less? Also, did you or did you not get AWD? I am still awaiting the delivery of my MKX so I am interested in pricing. Currently, my price is $1000 less than dealer invoice. However, that includes all Lincoln incentives including a military discount.
Nosebleed
Hi Cafpaf Me, too. The 54K is what our Moderator came up with for me as a target price. He added up the extras listed in my post to hit 54K. However I missed $1780 for the AWD so the Moderator didn't have that number when he gave me the 54K So instead of 54K it's 55780K for a final price as far as the dealer is concerned. I then talked the manager into another $1000 for my trade-in and the salesman said he would cover the remaining $780 with his commission. So I paid $54,000 for the car. I feel like I got a great deal on the car. Plus free wash jobs for life and the dealer is only 4 miles away. If some of you folks are looking for a figure to use as a guide. The MSRP for this car $59780 after that it's Dealer Sticker. My experience is they are not all the same. My dealer did not figure any incentives in that price. When the car arrives from the factory then I get them, $0 to $1500 depends on whats out there for my area. I'll let you know in about 8 to 12 weeks. Let me know If any of you have a questions about this sale I'll be glad to try again. Nosebleed
cafpaf
Nosebleed, thanks for the info. So....your agreed upon price is 54K less any Lincoln incentives at the time of delivery. Actually, you could pay as little as $52.5K depending on the incentives.
Nosebleed
Yes I suppose it's possible, depending on what Lincoln is offering at the time of arrival. You can probably count on $500 plus another $500 if you are a veteran.
cafpaf
Nosebleed, I believe that Lincoln cash is currently up to $1000 plus the $500 Military bonus.
akirby
Please note incentives vary by region and they're not all shown on the Lincoln website. E.g. a dealer in GA is showing $1000 rebate and a dealer in Tacoma, WA is only showing $500.
Nosebleed
Yah, I plan to do some deep digging around when the car gets here. No sense doing anything till then. The dealer even said so. nosebleed
cafpaf
Nosebleed, please keep us posted on the status of your order. You have two of the options that I have ordered. Those being the Driver Assistance Package, and the Climate package. My order was placed on Jan 24th and at the moment, it is not scheduled for production due to either an air bag issue of something with the Adaptive Steering which for 2017 is part of the Driver Assistance Package. I am really not sure which. I am becoming concerned that since it is not even scheduled I may not get the vehicle prior to the lease expiration of my current Cadillac CTS. If you get any news from your dealer, please pass it along. Thanks!!
Nosebleed
Here's what I know. One dealer would not include driver assist pkg because the factory is fixing just what you said. So I talked to the dealer I had planed to order from anyway he told me they still order that pkg but it will take awhile to fix the problem. Mine was ordered on march 22 they said maybe ten weeks. you can figure from that information. Nosebleed
cafpaf
Nosebleed, thanks again for the information. That 8 - 10 weeks seems to be the standard time frame. That is what they told me back on 24 January but my car is still not scheduled for production. We will just have to see what happens. So from what you said, I assume that you ordered with the Driver Assistance Package. Correct?
Nosebleed
Sorry I'm slow to respond. Oh yes, we did order it.It was something we really wanted. Would have been like driving on 3 wheels to us. We ordered everything except the expensive speaker system, leave that for the young folks I say.
