Southerngravy
So I've had my 2.7 Reserve now since August 2015. With the sellback of my 13 Passat TDI complete I have about $27,000 to play with, well not really just maybe $7000 really to play with. With that said is there still no aftermarket performance option specifically designed for the MKX 2.7 AWD and Edge Sport? I remember asking this about a year ago around this time and there were still no real viable options. All Im looking to do is CAI and Catback Exhaust. akirby
CAI and cat back is hardly worth the effort. A tuner is the best option if they're available for the 2.7.
Rural_OC_MKX
Before I decide to get a Lincoln MKX, I was reading several 2015 Edge Sport forums. On at least one of them there was a thread about a customized ECU program complete with dyno results. You might investigate the 2015+ Edge Sport forums. Cosmos36
As a 2.7 MKX owner, I closely monitor www.f150forum.com (the 2015 to present MY threads) as a means to satisfy news, issues, mods, etc. relating to the Nano engine. A search in that forum will reveal many threads regarding 2.7 tunes and incidental discussions/debates relative to the affect of engine mods on vehicle issues & warranties. The ubiquity of the F-150 makes that forum a bountiful source of info, but that same popularity can make thread searches exasperating. For example, a single thread relating to current model F-150 mods has 3,300+ posts and been viewed 1,667,757 times. Of course, any of the popular search engines (e.g. Google) will provide links to 2.7 tuning. On a personal note, my satisfaction with the MKX's 2.7EB has led me to savoring Lincoln's 3.0 iteration with 400HP-400TQ and a hope that Ford's dual injection engineering will find its way from the new 3.5EB to the 2.7/3.0 engines. Tuning the 2.7 carries risks that I would prefer to avoid. The F-150 forum has some tragic anecdotes of tuned and/or abused 2.7 engines. Southerngravy
CAI and cat back is hardly worth the effort. A tuner is the best option if they're available for the 2.7. Well I was hoping to actually hear a little exhaust vice the quietness of our 2.7 Don't get me wrong I understand that the market Lincoln was aiming for was a little more upscale, but listening to the SQ5 at the light next to me had me thinking that a throaty exhaust is definitely needed. As for the CAI, I know its an easy install especially from AFE and maybe K&N. I am looking into Livernois(I might have spelled that wrong) and possibly something from AFE for tuning. Either way just wanting a choice.

Put in a hydraulic lift kit and have the first bouncing MKX! Think of it, how many MKX's have you seen bouncing 6' off the ground? Now that's unique. lol VisionPilot

Maybe its because he doesn't have one of ours with a somewhat performance oriented engine.
Timmer
Wow you really don't like anybody messing around with there MKX. Maybe some of us aren't that old yet? Lol - You may be right, Malta2. What I do know is that my MKX is more than fast enough to easily get me a speeding ticket. It is also quiet enough that I can listen to my Revel audio system undisturbed, and not be sonically offended when an 800 watt per channel, rap blasting, bass thumping rice burner pulls up next to me at a red light. Yup, it's all good and you're probably right, Malta2. I may be old but I got to see all the cool bands... ;-)) Edited December 6, 2016 by Timmer punch-card, mosh00 and VisionPilot

Enigma-2 is a good poster weighing is just funning thou. I doubt he is as old as me though! Turbo engines to lend themselves well to mods. VisionPilot
https://www.livernoismotorsports.com/product/LPP631147 I'm considering this. Has anyone tried it yet? Dugornot

VisionPilot
Lots of Edge owners have used Livernois and love it. http://fordedgeforum.com Right, just wondering if any MKX owners have dared to try it.... two different tunes. Also, there could be warranty considerations.
Richard Maccini
I know this is an old thread. I just picked up a 2016 2.7eb with 33k mi on it. Want a custom tune. Has anyone tried the Livernois tune and have reviews or results? Dugornot
