Why are you so sensitive? Of course all car manufacturers have recalls. Seem to be a lot of ford and Lincoln recalls lately.

As a comparison my MKC has SIX recalls

and Mercedes GLA has ZERO.

Audi q3 - zero or one depending upon which site you look at

LEXUS NX - zero recalls.

Comparing similar cars released similar times

Apples to apples

Oh wait it's SEVEN for the MKC. They don't have the latest one issued last week about the door latches allowing the doors to come open while driving.

Again I did exactly that, a basic Google search and compared all the models I mentioned on cars.com that lists the NHTSA safety recalls.

I also said we all know other manufacturers have recalls. Not sure if you read all of the post. I wanted to make a direct comparison to NEW model vehicles in the same class (the same ones I cross shopped) to the MKC. Apples to apples....

And if you type those model numbers in their recall search you will come up with the same numbers 6-0-0-0. That's what I read. But that's site is not wholly accurate or updated. In their defense the seventh recall just came out last week.

Was the Lexus NX your second choice when looking at the Lincoln?

Also curious, did you guys lease? Hows the resale value on the MKC in NJ?

Really!!!

Honda - fined $179 mil for failing to report warranty claims and recalls to ensure their reputation remain high!!

Volkswagen - fined huge for lying about fuel economy with deliberate software.!

Jaguar - Failed to let the consumer know that the primer coat was defective on 30k vehicles!

Mercedes CLA - worst vehicle in 2015 due to factory dings, door locks falling off and an array of other issues?

BMW Mini- failed to let consumers know the transmission had issues until the warranty ran out and consumers had to pay.

I can fill this post with hundreds of quality issues from vehicles that cost $14k to 290K

My son has an R8....sit down and talk to him sometime.

Remember all the above vehicles were 3-4 year production models not a brand new design 1st year production.

No excuses.....if it's broke Lincoln needs to fix it, but don't tell me every other luxury vehicle out there does not have issues. Maybe not paint cracks around sensors but I will guaranty it's something else.

You know I actually held up my car purchase until the fall to wait to see both the GLA and NX in person. My car search was extreme.

I could write a book LOL (if you are interested more about the models and what I liked and didn't you can send me a message)

Although I always loved the RX and thought I would be buying the NX I just cant deal with the new grill and it was smaller than expected.  I kept flip flopping back and forth between big and small CUV/SUV.  The GLA would have been my first choice if it were a little bigger even though I have a hard time with the way their (and Lexus) screen pops out of dash.  Evoque was my first choice overall but my husband is anti Land Rover and has tortured me since 2012 when it was released LOL

In the end my final three were Infiniti QX50 (great tech, more space), Audi Q5 (switched from my initial Q3 which I loved but just a little too small and not all the options available), and the MKC.  Had the (new) MKX been out when I shopped I more than likely would have bought it immediately.

Q5 ended up being number two even though it did not have a lot of tech stuff I wanted because I had a great experience with the dealer/Audi and my salesman was cool  :)  I had a hard time breaking it to him I was going with the Lincoln LOL.

I bought my MKC unfortunately.  I wish I wouldn't  have but I never lease cars.  I was so apprehensive about plunking down the $49K for mine, I had no problem spending that or more on an Audi, or LR, or MB..but Lincoln?  Sadly they have proved me correct....

I  never worry that much about resale if I really like the car. I buy the car to enjoy it  and not think about selling it.  I must admit though in comparing and making the final decision between the Q5 and the MKC it was a factor that crossed my mind.  There are a ton of Q5's around here, we get a good amount of snow so they are very popular.  The safe/practical side of me said get the Q5, trusted, around a long time, better resale for sure, dealer 5 minutes away....oh boy, look where I am now LOL..

I don't know what the resale of the MKC would be,  I've heard numbers in the other MKC forum I'm in and its not pretty.   Ill never be able to sell mine since its defective and I would have to tell the person - not counting on being able to sell it so I haven't even looked into it.

Again I'm not sure if my typing is invisible to you all LOL but in BOTH posts I say other manufacturers have recalls too :)

And safety recalls (like the new one posted and the one just last week for my MKC) are obviously more important than sensors

.

I compared the most similar cars, the ones you list do not match up to manufacturer, release, class, etc

Bottom line apples to apples my MKC has significantly more recalls than its competitors in its exact class released the basically same time (MKC was out 6 months before GLAs and NX's hit showroom floors)  That's what I'm comparing.

On another auto related forum I was an active on, members were provided with the means to block incoming posts from annoying individuals. I, along with others, used it in one instance to block a person continuously posting negatively about a vehicle that wasn't even the subject of the forum. Does this forum provide a similar service?

What a great idea! Then I don't have to listen to your comments about my posts.

Or you could just stop injecting your bashing into every single thread.  You don't even own a MKX and you've had ample opportunities to share your bad experience.

Enough is enough.

Are you serious??

I didn't know mmoretti doesn't even own an MKX - then why does he/she post here?  That is the most pathetic thing I've heard in a long time. Thanks for the "ignore" instructions.

She owns a MKC.  I think she just joined to complain about her service experiences.

Actually no. Wrong again. Look at my join date and my early posts that I was going to buy a black label MKX.

And if you search other Lincoln forums you will see I was very positive like you about my mkc and excited about getting the MKX - UNTIL ..... I repeat you don't know my entire story and what it took to get me to this point, it's more than justified.

And BTW I bet there are plenty of people in this forum who don't own an MKX yet :-)

Pease block me.

You know I guess you guys don't get it that if you just don't respond to my posts I'm done with it (the comment) but the more you guys have to comment on it the more attention you bring to it. think about it

I will be negative advertising for Lincoln and the dealers, online, at work, school, grocery store, vacation home (large condo complex), EVERYWHERE until they take my defective car back and give me my money back and end my nightmare. Until then I will continue to show others my damaged, defective car and tell them all about my "Lincoln experience" every single opportunity I get. You are free to tell everyone about your positive Lincoln experiences. You think I'm being sarcastic when I say good luck with your cars but I'm really not. I've expressed my disappointment over what happened but can't change what has been going on with my car. I'm not rude to you or begrudging you. This is not personal it's between me and Lincoln.

So don't take it personal and block me if it bothers you so. Again you bring way more attention with the back and forth comments

im very happy for you. And perfect for me. Why do you even have to post about it at all except to show your immaturity and continue to instigate when you can't even read my posts? Will you STILL respond with your inappropriate comments?

And who has the issues here?...hmmmm

I know this will be hidden for you but I'll point it out fur others.

That's ok even when you comment on hidden posts it keeps the thread active for others to read.
