After looking for TSB 19-2313, this is all I found: "Harsh Upshift/Downshift, Harsh Engagements, And/or 4th to 5th Gear Upshift Flare with no DTCS Present" So, that is not the shifting issue my post is about.

When I try to push on the link, nothing happens???

I am also interested in information on this "software update". I got mine on March 1st, and only have around 1,500 miles on it. In the next week I will be putting away all my classic and modern convertibles and the Nautilus will then be my only driver until April. Planning to get my first oil change in the next week or so and will ask my service manager about this. The 6-speed on my '16 MKX always shifted so smoothly that I was surprised that this 8-speed has the feeling of a slip between gears and the tach shows a rise of about 500 rpm between shifts when it does happen.

You ship the factory wheels back to Detroit Wheel and Tire, they are considered a "Core", and once received, you get $1500 back on your credit card from the original $2500 fee.

There is a funny story, every Thursday evening, I meet with my old car friends at our local Culver's at 5 PM. I had this Nautilus since March 1st, and many times drove it to Culver's. Where we sit, I can see where it is parked. I got the chromed wheels put on the car on a Thursday morning, and drove it to Culver's at 5 PM that day. Two couples at various times walked up to the Nautilus that day and seemed to be really interested in it. No one had looked at it the months I had it there before.

I am not sure why they produced it that way, probably would have looked better to line the front corner of the hood with the end of the fender. Aligning the hood with the fiberglass that goes around the grille was not perfect in every vehicle I looked at, and time will tell if it stays in place after a few years. Mine lines up very well though.

You can see in this photo where the headlight unit fits right up to the point of the front fender, but then curves downward where it is below the forward facing hood.

Actually, that's they way they designed that hood facing slightly forward from the ending point of the front fenders. Both sides are exactly the same.

And again, these are the wheels that the Nautilus Brouchure call, "Ultra-Bright Machined Aluminium". It reminds me of what it would look like if I put Blackwall tires on my '56, '57, '59 Tbirds, '66 Mustang convertible or '79 Lincoln Mark V....

Just in case there is interest in the cost of replacing the wheels through Detroit Wheel and Tire, it ends up costing about $250 per wheel. You do pay around $2500 up front, which includes $279 for both way shipping. Once you return the wheels on your car, you get the $1500 core charge back. I shipped my wheels back on Thursday around noon, and they arrived back to them on Friday morning. Yesterday, Wednesday, the $1500 core charge was posted back on my credit card, so now the company will have a set of the 21" Nautilus wheels for whoever is next in line. The company has 3 choices with the return wheels. Sell them as they are, Chrome them, or Black Coat them.

The Sales Manager at my Dealer asked me to send her a photo of my Nautilus with the Chrome Wheels on it, and asked if she could show it to customers who are not happy with the Gray Wheel look. She also asked me to send her the Website address so she could give that to any customers who wanted to go in that direction, and she said she will tell Lincoln that they need to offer some choices of the same wheels with different surface coatings. I made it very clear that the next time I am ready to trade, Lincoln will likely loose me as a Customer if there aren't other wheel choices than Gray or Black coatings. I understand Lincoln may be going in the Dark Wheel look to get younger customers, but any younger age person with enough money to buy a Lincoln will very likely head to Audi, BMW, Lexus, Volvo, etc, while us current customers who are not happy with that look may go elsewhere. Time will tell.

I have had no issues with this company. There was one change though. Last year when I got the Mustang wheels, in one wheel box was your receipt and 4 UPS sickers to place on the outside of the boxes and on top of the sticker that sent it to you, that were your prepaid return address stickers. But this year, there was only a receipt, and no return stickers. I emailed the guy I had been communicating with, and he said I had to go back to their website, scroll down to "Quick Links" to the "PVD Core Wheel Return" link, click on that, type in your information and receipt number, and then you just print out the prepaid slip to then tape with clear tape on each return box. Why they didn't have that information in the box, I have no idea. But, it was easy to do once I got the information.

Could end up being the only Nautilus out there with this combination. And this is how the same company wheels look on my 2018 Mustang.

When I bought my Nautilus, I just didn't like the Gray Coating on the 21" wheels. Last year when I bought my 2018 Mustang GT convertible those 20" wheels also had a Gray Coating, but not as dark as the Nautilus. I got a set of Chrome 20" wheels for the Mustang from Detroit Wheel and Tire, and love the look on that car. So when I got my Nautilus, I ordered a set from them again. They said it would take 6-10 weeks to get them, since they had quite a few orders. After 10 weeks, I contacted them for an update, and they said a Ford/Lincoln Dealer caused a serious problem by returning a set of Nautilus 19" wheels instead of the contract they had to return Nautilus 21" wheels. So, I said I would wait 4 more weeks and contact them again, and as of Monday, they still had not found a set, so I sent them a photo of my '16 MKX with the 21" Polished Aluminium wheels and asked if they had those in stock, and they did, except for the black "Fan Blade" center look, which was fine with me. Only took two days to get here, and my Lincoln Dealer made the switch this morning. Now I like the look much better. Some people may not, and like Gray Coated wheels, but not me!

I did watch one review on YouTube several months ago where the idiot doing the review said the Nautilus was a replacement for the MKZ. I guess that means he didn't know crap about Lincoln....but I never liked that letter naming system either.

I do use my left foot for braking most of the time. I had an uncle in his mid-80's that told me about doing that when you get older, since a lot of old people get into accidents by somehow hitting the throttle with their right foot when they think they are braking with their right foot. At least learning to use one foot for throttle and one foot for brakes seems to solve that problem as you age from what he said. I only have one car with a manual transmission, so in that one I don't use that solution though. I would guess at a driver's license renewal test drive that might be an issue, but with a large center console, they probably would never notice..not to the age quite yet of where I have to take a driving test to renew my license.

I tried this with the Auto Engine Stop turned off. Adaptive Cruise Control will completely stop the Nautilus when you are approaching a car at a stop light, then when the light turns green, and if you have not touched the brake, your Nautilus will then move ahead following the car at whatever speed it goes in front of you. I think the MKX would only go down to 5 MPH and then you would need to hit the brake to stop, but not sure.

On my 2016, I had my first driver's side headlight unit replaced at 1800 miles. A loose screw was inside the unit. The bumper has to come off to replace it. I asked the Sales Manager how much that cost Lincoln, answer was $2800. Then this past winter, the passenger side unit was gathering moisture inside that would not go away, so that one was replaced under warranty as well. I now have a Nautilus, so hopefully I won't have any headlight unit with it.

Just got to Iowa from Illinois for Easter. Some interesting things. The speedometer needle was pointing to 60 MPH, when the digital number was 62. And something I had never seen before, with Adaptive Cruise Control on, when you are approaching a car in front of you, the rear end of a Continental appears! I was also trying to verify when the transmission shifts into 8th gear in Drive, and it is for sure at 60 MPH, because you can flip the shifter(+) on the right hand side of the steering wheel, and the gear number will flash a few times and then go away. I did the same thing at 55 MPH, and 7th gear showed up.

After watching some videos today about the Corsair, the interior is definitely a huge improvement over the MKC. It has Heads Up Dash Display (probably on the high end model), rear seats that can be slid back and forth close to 6", and a Dash that looks very similar to the Aviator/Navigator style. The side interior door panels seem to have a leather section several inches high and look more luxurious. Should sell well. I guess it will be a few years before our Nautilus gets a similar interior.

My MKX used to have that warning come up on the dash when driving on longer trips, although I always had both hands on the wheel.
