    • Can I put a trans from 2013 into 2012.
    • Apparently if the LED blinker goes out on the liftgate area you have to replace the whole assembly. This is ridiculous and is at the nice price of $2000. Has anyone had issues with this before and I have found one way cheaper on ebay but don't know what the hassle would be of self installation. Attached is the $400 assembly I have found on ebay.

    • Auxiliary Power/Radio turning itself on in the middle of the night. Six months ago I purchased a 1-Owner 2013 Lincoln MKX from a lifelong friend. Beginning around 3 months ago, after stopping the engine, occasionally the message "Turn Off Aux Power to save battery power" would be displayed. I would start and shut off the engine to clear the message. Over the last month or so, I have found my battery had drained over night. The battery is only 9 months old. I suspected the aux power was coming on during the night. To verify, I set the radio volume relatively high, turn off the radio, then turn off the engine, exit the vehicle and lock the doors. Sure enough the sound of music playing has awaken me multiple times nightly. Needless to say I have had to disconnect the battery.   Any ideas or  suggestions??
    • 2016 Lincoln MKX ( 3.7 V 6 ) ... Where is the Transmission Dipstick located ???
    • One possibility is a weak vehicle battery. Could test by charging fully  and try again.   Failures like this in the past are usually related to low voltage or failure in the RGTM module. (Replacements will need to be programmed to your car.)
    • Sounds more like the gas struts are getting weak. The purpose of the power lift is to provide lift just after it opens to about ½ way open. Then the gas struts take over and lift it the rest of the way.   Test it by manually lifting the tailgate full open. If it begins to slowly lower then the gas struts need replacing.   Cheap aftermarket will run about $25/pair, better quality about $45/pair. Motorcraft probably around $90/pair.   Easy, inexpensive fix. 5-minutes. I'd buy Motorcraft as aftermarket have not held up.
