Hope it's not a lemon ...

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

I just purchased a used 2013 Lincolon MKX, with 90,000 miles and I am already having a few concerns... I have already had both oxygen sensors replaced, but I've noticed that the maintenance tool keeps coming on unexpectedly while I'm driving. It seems to happen after a fillup on gas! Any suggestions???🤔

You need to check the code but it’s probably the purge valve.

...which is not as costly as an Oxygen Sensor...

If you are a do-it-yourself owner, these YouTube videos describe the fairly easy replacement procedure...

And this one offers a bit more technical detail on the Purge Valve itself...

Good luck!

Thank you guys for responding. My warranty replaced my oxygen sensors! Now, both fans have stopped working...😧 which caused my truck to overheat and started smoking. Both the AC and the engine. Thank God I was out and someone who know about vehicles showed me that my air was blowing cold but my engine fan, nor the AC weren't turning?! Is that even possible to still blow cold?!?😳 I had to drive it home slowly with my heat on full blast! This all have occurred less than 3 days apart!! Lord help me!😔

Have you ever considered an extended warranty?
