I see this MKX commercial...

...running constantly this last week on cable news programs. Seems to be saying: "Remember how classy, quiet, smooth and powerful the Lexus NX used to be, rather than what it is now, something embarrassing to be seen driving (unless you're in a Transformers movie)? We'll, that's what the Lincoln MKX is now. Give it a try."

I was somewhat surprised to see that ad in our local market so late in the MY 2018 timeframe. With quietness of the 2019 Nautilus hinted at being even more satisfying, Lincoln marketing may be priming the public's interest in NVH suppression in the soon-to-arrive model.

So, it wasn't just my imagination. That MKX spot *does* have a huge buy behind it. Seems odd with the Nautilus rename/relaunch coming up, but I do like the spot.

They don't want people waiting for the 19s MY so full press to get 18s sold.
