Recommended Posts

I just bought a  2008 MKX and the white right door armrest is black I guess from the previous owner. Tried leather cleaner but nothing. Any ideas. Thans

I have in the past used rish soap and brush. Not at all ideal but on more warn areas it worked I treated it almost immediately with leather conditioner. Had no issues.

Dallas Pint Correction is a professional detailer and has a lot of videos on YouTube. This one is a cleaner he mixes up for cleaning leather and plastic interiors with excellent results. He uses a mixture of 5 parts water and 1 part Woolite. (If this doesn't cut it I would consider Chemical Guys Super Clean. I Use this on my Weathertech floor mats - very strong.)

The leather in our cars has a plastic film used to protect the leather. Harsh chemicals can damage this flim. After you clean the armrest, I would consider using some sort of protection to prevent further damage. At a minimum a top quality Wax or plastick restorer, such as Chemical Guys Leather Protectant.
