Timmer Report post Posted August 20, 2016 Just like waiting for Christmas when I was a kid... But I still haven't figured out how I'm going to break the news to my loyal, trusty Explorer... Good Morning Timmer, Your new Lincoln MKX is now in the Twin Cities. Sometime this week it will be delivered to our store and should arrive for you to come in and begin enjoying. I would plan for later this week like Wednesday or Thursday. Have a great weekend! See you soon. Warm Regards, Tyler | Lincoln Brand Champion 3 punch-card, VisionPilot and mtmtmt reacted to this

enigma-2 Report post Posted August 22, 2016 (edited) But I still haven't figured out how I'm going to break the news to my loyal, trusty Explorer...Simple, thanks for the miles, your out of here. Actually we all know it's harder than that, especially if you "name" your car. My last car was named Spike. Spike was great, comfortable, quiet, smooth, great 1998 Mercury Sable. Thought the wife was actually going to cry when we turned him in. (Actually, I think he was crying). But his belly had rusted out, in fact the entire underbelly was either gone or going. Had no choice. So welcome to the MKX, may she outlast Spike. "So like the rest of us, your off to the great junk yard in the sky, .... where you will return as a new Lincoln MKX". He was smiling again as I told him this. Ah yes Grasshopper, there is reincarnation. Edited August 22, 2016 by enigma-2 1 Timmer reacted to this
Timmer Report post Posted August 28, 2016 The excitement of picking up my just-built MKX was offset by saying goodbye to my '98 Explorer... It was such a great car. Lots of memories... :-)) 3 VisionPilot, Adam and punch-card reacted to this
Cosmos36 Report post Posted August 28, 2016 Christmas in August, huh Timmer? The 1st pic is another good representation of the Luxe color...until the car is moved to another location. LOL 1 Timmer reacted to this
punch-card Report post Posted August 28, 2016 Look the twin of my MKX , except you got a little head dressing. I did not get the roof rails.... but I cringe at parking garage, door ding city 2 VisionPilot and Timmer reacted to this
Timmer Report post Posted August 28, 2016 Look the twin of my MKX , except you got a little head dressing. I did not get the roof rails.... but I cringe at parking garage, door ding city That is secure, private parking at my condominum, punch-card. Thankfully my "parking" next-door neighbor is super careful, as am I with his car. But you're right - discovering the 1st door-ding on my MKX will surely have me cringing, and then some... Bonus: I'm sure to get in great shape with all the extra walking I'll be doing from the "outskirts" of parking lots. ;-)) Timmer 1 VisionPilot reacted to this

LOL Yes, Luxe Metallic is a chameleon color for sure, Cosmos. I like that about it! Timmer
mosh00 Report post Posted August 28, 2016 Hey Timmer, When did you place your order? If you mentioned it in a previous post, I apologize for missing it. Just trying to gage when I might be getting mine. My order was placed August 1st. You went with the Hazelnut interior didn't you? How do you like it? 1 Timmer reacted to this

Cosmos36 Report post Posted August 28, 2016 (edited) mosh...with deliveries to the Midwest running about 5 1/2 weeks after ordering, how does an estimated ETA of September 10 sound? Edit: saying 'estimated ETA' is kinda like saying 'monsoon rains', eh? Edited August 28, 2016 by Cosmos36 1 mosh00 reacted to this

Just trying to gage when I might be getting mine. My order was placed August 1st. You went with the Hazelnut interior didn't you? How do you like it? Mosh, My order was submitted to Lincoln on Thursday July 14th. I like the hazelnut interior color a lot. It is very rich looking, dark enough to not show stains as readily as lighter colors, and it's not black, Lol!
