Running Boards

Recommended Posts

My wife is a little too short for easy entrance into the MKX, so I am looking into adding running boards. Has anyone had experience with running boards on their 2016 MKX, or an earlier MKX or Edge?

I had them on my 2013.  It did the job.

I'll post the link where I got them.

Edit: On my computer, when clicking on the link initially posted here, I get a default to an unrelated website. If so, just Google 'romik running boards'. I've seen advertising for 2016 MKX boards.

Since the initial post I have seen the Romik's. Has anyone had experience with them? I had DeeZee running boards on a Ford Econoline window van and the chrome peeled off after a few years. The store that I ordered them from 11 years ago had to return the first 2 sets because the shipping company bent the first set badly and ripped the box open on the second set and lost the fasteners. The shipper was changed on the third set and they came in just fine.

Check romik.com

Check your link - Instead of going to ROMIK.COM, it points to ROMICK.COM

I took the link down. Follow the directions I suggested to use Google.

Strange...when you go to the romik running boards website, their URL states romik.com.

This is the one I use on my 2013,  they look great and the fit was excellent with no drilling.  About 90 minutes installation, half that if you got it on a lift.

The same ones fit the 2015 but does not shows it fit the 2016, I would give them a call as I.m sure the mounting kit should be the same.

I had already been to the AutoAnything site and entered my 2016 Lincoln MKX information, so when I followed the link above it came up immediately telling me that the product was not available for the 2016 MKX. The only brand AutoAnything has in running boards (I don't want nerf bars) is Romik. I went to the DeeZee site and they indicate that they have the running boards themselves (apparently a generic length), but they do not show that they have the mounting kit. I phoned DeeZee and they said that until they actually test fit a 2016 MKX they will not advertise that they have a product.

Card sells a set for the 2016 MKX. I'm planning to buy them soon. Google it, should be easy to find, I would post a link. But on my phone at the moment.
