Navigation Display

Recommended Posts

2016 MKX purchased early December 2015 has MyLincoln Touch.   I just noticed the NAV display does not show water.   No rivers, lakes, etc.   My wifes 2012 MKS shows water in blue color.   Our son's 2012 Fustion shows water in blue color.   Not the MKX,  just open space on the map.   I can't find any place to change the displayed features of the map.    Anyone else notice this?

There have been simular complaints about the 2016 nav display colors. In the Edge forum, the FordTeam responded that it could be corrected in the first update to Sync 3. They gave a website to post comments so the engineers could read them. Here is the reference if you care to follow up.

I have Sync3 and have blue lakes. Is this a Sync limitation that you are encountering?

I think the 2012 MKS and 2012 Fusion had the old pre-MFT navigation and I think the water was shown in blue but not on MyFordTouch/MyLincolnTouch.

Well, I have to make a correction to my original post.    Drove home to NJ yesterday.  Across PA on I80, down the PA turnpike.    Crossed the west branch Susquehanna river,   it was blue.  Crossed the Susquehanna river,  it was blue.  Crossed the Delaware River at Ben Franklin bridge,  it was blue.    Seems most water is properly displayed in blue, except the one lake in western PA where I happen to own a home.    What are the chances???    The lake is man made but it has been there since the 50's.   It is properly displayed on my other cars.   Guess I need an updated map.
