Gurgeh
As thorough, balanced and well argued as all of his reviews. https://www.alexonautos.com/2019-lincoln-nautilus-coming-out-of-the-shell/
thisguy159
Eh I found it actually annoying a bit. He had is in comfort and effectively reviewed it as such comparing it to other brands as more floaty. The whole point of the suspension is to adjust it. walkabout
I've become increasingly less convinced by his reviews.

That's the one thing in the review that bugged me. I use normal suspension/drive mode only for a long highway road trip. Otherwise I keep it in sport suspension/sport mode and find the handling nearly as responsive (less so only due to physics of its larger size and greater weight) and the throttle just quick as my old 3.0 Q5. I couldn't see myself ever putting it in comfort unless maybe I'm working my way through a construction site.
walkabout
He did complain about torque steer, which is interesting.
thisguy159
The other thing is I think when he reviewed the mkx (it's been a while since I watched that video) I believe he mentioned how quiet it was. N supposed to be better in that area then MKX but he wasn't that impressed with it. Would have liked some comparis mention.
walkabout
With the MKX review, he was just plain wrong about one or two issues. When he described the seats, he claimed the top part articulates separate from the bottom (as in the BMW 7-series). However, the MKX never had that feature nor does the Nautilus. It was a little mistake, but it did leave me scratching my head and saying, "huh?"
walkabout
Just watched it. It's not bad. He overstated the"softness" of the vehicle but it's a mostly fair review.
elijahbird7
I did watch one review on YouTube several months ago where the idiot doing the review said the Nautilus was a replacement for the MKZ. I guess that means he didn't know crap about Lincoln....but I never liked that letter naming system either.
MKXMark
I ordered a trailer hitch for my MKX, said MKX repeatedly on the phone, and they ordered one for a MKZ. I'm glad they're getting rid of these stupid names.
walkabout
You have an mkx? I thought you had an suv like the rest of us? Why would you put a trailer hitch on a sedan anyway? Timmer
Cosmos36
If I was interested in a MKZ, I would order it with a trailer hitch to pull my MKX. CARR142 and walkabout

I'm going to find out what they plan to do before they start hacking away at it.
walkabout
that's probably a minor trim, but it would make me nervous too.

The heat shield needed to be trimmed, not the bumper. It's pretty beefy. The MKX without the towing package can pull 2000lbs but I'm just putting a bike rack on it. Sorry to hijack the Nautilus thread but I assume this applies to that vehicle as well! Timmer
