  1. The rear seat belts are still in the factory plastic, never used.
  2. My parents had a 77 Blue Mark V and my Dad passed away in 79. Mom kept that car until 88 when her old lady friends were having too much trouble getting in the back seat. We got her a blue 88 Town Car, which she still has now with 43,000 miles on it. She just turned 96, and decided not to renew her license. I found this one 6 years ago with 13,325 original miles, and bought it from the original 90 year old owner. Drives like a new 36 year old car. Everything works, Moonroof and 8-Track. I usually show it in the "Survivor" class.
  3. In the 50's, if you were "cool", you had a coupe. This one was Palomino (Buff) and white, with matching leather interior. They had a 53 White with Black top Capri coupe before this car. They kept this car until the 61 Thunderbird came out and bought a vey light blue one.
  4. From the album: 14 Ruby Red

My parents 1956 Lincoln Premiere Coupe, purchased when I was 10 years old.
  5. From the album: 14 Ruby Red

Wedgewood Blue Luxury Group, Moon Roof and 8-Track
  6. From the album: 14 Ruby Red

My 1979 Mark V, just turned 17,000 original miles.
  7. From the album: 14 Ruby Red

My Ruby Red '14 with the 22" wheel option, and Light Stone interior.
  8. If Lincoln would have made a current version of the Explorer (Aviator), I would have definitely taken time to look at it before ordering my MKX.
  9. It seems that in the current Lincoln TV ads the company is completely ignoring the fact they also make an MKX and MKS. I guess they only like their new MKC, MKZ and Navigator. Maybe they will remember they make the other cars when they redesign them.
  10. Robert, Try this.. www.squarebirds.org/vbulletin/index.php This will take you directly to the Forum page, perhaps your browser didn't get you there from the main page...
  11. On the site, scroll down to "Our Rides", and then "elijahbird7's Tbirds." I believe you only see the photos by registering on the site. You can always delete your registration later if you want.
  12. Robert, There are several photos of the '59 and my other cars on www.squarebirds.org under "Our Rides". To be able to view the photos you will need to register on the site however.
  13. Just had a call late today that the MKX arrived yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately my salesman was off yesterday. So, it took exactly 5 weeks from the day it was ordered until delivery. I pick it up tomorrow afternoon.
  14. I'm Jim from Illinois. On May 7th I ordered a new Ruby Red AWD, Stone Leather and 22's. By following tips on blueovalnews, I was able to get the vin#, print the window sticker, and from FordEtis.com was able to find out it was assembled on Wednesday, May, 28th, exactly 3 weeks after I placed the order. Now if I could only figure out how long it will take to get here from Toronto. I currently own several other Ford/Lincoln products. '56 Thunderbird Peacock Blue, '59 Thunderbird convertible Baltic Blue, '04 Thunderbird Merlot, '79 Mark V Wedgewood Blue, '12 Mustang GT convertible Grabber Blue '13 F150 Platinum Ruby Red and '09 Solstice Merlot. Looking forward to the arrival of the MKX.
