Ditto.  Its the the quietest vehicle I've owned.

Ours was super quiet for the first 10K miles.   At 20K we get a little bit of road noise - not terrible but more than before - which I attribute to the tires.

Same here, the car came with Hankook Ventus S1 noble 2 tires.

Quiet when new, noisier & rougher riding at 20K...with a few exceptions, a complaint common to most tires. It's inherent with the wearing of cushioning tread, exacerbated by low profiles. I expect the ride comfort & road noise of my Hankook Ventus S1 noble 2  and Goodyear Eagle 18" rubber on two other vehicles to continuously deteriorate with mileage...uncertain how the MKX Michelin Premier LTX will perform since IMO they seemed noisy when new.

My 2016 Reserve has a little bit of a whistle when driving and when there is a lot of wind.  We don't notice it usually because of the Revel audio system hides all the outside noises.  But one day after reading this forum post, I drove the car with the radio off on a windy day and there was a slight whistle.  Not sure from where though.

Brought the car in today.  TSB 16-0058 was my problem.  They are order the necessary items needed to fix the problem.

I also have excessive road noise. 2016 MKX Reserve with 21" Pirelli Tires. I also have noise when it rains on the passenger front sounds whoop, whoop, whoop. My seat memory will not return me to my "saved spot" until you press the button I have saved it to.

As most tires age, the less tread gets noiser (some get downright unbearable). How many miles do you have on them?

The whop, whop only when raining is interesting. About the only thing I can think of would be a mud flap that's flapping under the water load. But admittedly that's a stretch.

The seat position has always been a challenge for me. I eventually figured out that it only knows where to go if I unlock the car with my fob. If I just open an unlocked car it either goes to the last position (my wife sits with the steering wheel 2" from the seatback or some other weird upright position. So I "have to" push the button like your doing. No biggie.

If you have more than 12K miles it may be the tires. Ours got really noisy and I replaced them at 22k miles. New ones are so much quieter.

Just got home and was thinking about you whop, whop. I think that I would check the sound deadening covers under the car. It's somewhat common to lose a fastener or two and the shields flap in the windflow. It may be that rainwater is agravitating the flapping as they get wet. Easy to check, you crawl under the side of the car and push on the shields.

Honestly, the MKX had been the quietest car I've owned. Can't say I care too much about road nose but it's not been a factor in this vehicle.

It that what those forward facing mudflaps are for? ;-P

I hit a surprise thunderstorm, a year or two ago, in the lower Sierra Nevada's that just amazed me.  Torrential rain (no hail that I could tell), two lane highway with 2-3" flooding in the canyon, and it sounded slightly louder than coastal misting.  People were pulling over to high ground on both sides of the road and I felt no disconnect with the road, hardly any noise, but I knew it was fierce because the wipers were at max.

I have no idea what my fuel mileage was that day.

On my recent roadtrip I encountered some winds and did notice some wind buffeting noise at high speeds (75+). I also noticed the hood fluttering at the base of the windshield which was a bit disconcerting.

Beyond 60 mph fuel economy starts to go down dramatically (and it's not linear).
