The Lincoln Aviator appears ready to return to Lincoln's lineup - who would be interested in one?

No big surprise there this has been in development for a couple years now...with the way SUV's are selling the more the better lincoln needs a 3 row to compete with merc acura bmw volvo.  Its a big hole in the lineup now.

The surprise is why it's taking so long. Fields really screwed up the product pipeline. Aviator, ranger, bronco and ecosport should have been here 2 years ago.

Aviator is probably co developed with explorer nothing would be worse if the aviator was built on current gen explorer.  Branco is a joke and will be the FJ Cruiser, Hummer, vehicross, element, zdx, crosscabriolet etc.  ecosport yeah they should have that.

Bronco isn't a joke.  It won't sell 200K/yr but there is a market for a true off road capable vehicle.  And since it will be built alongside and share the Ranger platform it's a no brainer even at lower volumes.

It's possible but I don't think so.  I think it will make a viable Jeep Wrangler competitor and there are enough Ford faithful and Bronco fans to make it successful.

Having met quite a few people who previously owned Chevy Blazers, Dodge Ramchargers, Ford Broncos and Ford Bronco IIs, I speculate that while demand may be low, the following is almost as cult-like as Jeep.  I agree if they can inject the right balance of retro design, tech and off-road prowess into the package while leveraging as much of the common architecture as possible with the NA Ranger, it could very well make sense to produce the vehicle.
