I purchased a lease model 2014 MKX just a couple of months ago. I have now taken it back to dealer twice for a very bad order coming into the cabin! the first time they replaced a "seal" I believe they are at a total loss as to what is happening. Does anyone else have this issue. I am very worried about this when I have my small grandchildren in the car.

What does it smell like?  Exhaust?  Mold/mildew?  Oil?  Do you smell it all the time or only sometimes?

If it's exhaust, it's been widely discussed. https://www.google.c...ll in mkx&cad=h

If it's a mildew type of smell, it usually a plugged HVAC housing drain (can be cleared in a minute, but best if you flush out the housing with an antibacterial foam made for the purpose, afterwards).

The smell is much like a propane smell. intermittent mostly upon stopping or a climb. It just floods the cabin. You can smell it inside and out ....
