Has anyone else had issues with delayed shifting? It seems to only happen when the car is shifting from Park to reverse. Seems to take about 8-10secinds before it goes into reverse but when it does its with a significant clunk. It has already been in for service once and they were not able to repeat it? Yesterday it was backed in the drive put it into Drive but it would not shift into second 4000 RPM's!! Had to stop on the highway put it in park then drive - still would not shift gear - stopped turned the car off put it in reverse then drive had no problem again until this am putting it in reverse with the huge clunk. It's at the dealers now hopefully they can figure it out!! Actually took a video to share with them! Anyone else have anything similar?

Your problems sound simular to the ones people were having with the 1st Gen transmissions. Most of those were related to corrosion on the electrical connectors leading to the TSS and OSS sensor's in the transmission.

However there are many things that could also be suspect. For example, it's possible that the MAF sensor is not working properly. When it malfunctions, the engine does not have the correct information and can cause shifting problems.

There are also the adaptive tables in the Transmission Control Module that may benefit from clearing and reloading. And the dealer can load a revised table if this problem has been seen before and revised software has been issued.
