My 2013 MKX Cant use the remove starter. J have had the car for 6 months and it worked fine
Hit the lock key to lock.doors and press the top button and she started right up. Dropped my keys a week ago and now it will not start useing the key fob. Just beeps 2 times and thats it any help would be very helpful winters coming and i really would like to get it fixed

Does it do the same with the other FOB?

Double honk means that the car isn't locked.

Check all your doors, hatch and hood. When it happens again, check to see if the door ajar indicator is illuminated in the display or if the overhead console lights are on. If so it can usually be tracked to a faultly door switch or faulty hood switch. (Did you have the hood open just before it started)?
