Walt, I think adaptive steering is built into one of the packages after 2018. Nearly all reserves would have it.
As for the bridge of weir stuff, meh. That's just a marketing label for leather like BMW's dakota. The 2019 will have decent leather too, with some dumb new advertising label. The leather is nice in the current mkx but not a whole lot nicer than fords with leather seats.
Honestly, you are losing sight of the forest for the trees here. 2019 will have better mpg, a more modern transmission, better internal materials, upgraded tech,and a few new features.
I seriously think it would be a mistake not to wait for the Nautilus, especially if you plan to keep it a while.
Sorry if you've felt like we're picking on you. In all seriousness, this is the nicest group of guys I've encountered in a car chat board. It's a friendly knowledgeable group and the mod is great.
