No, I haven't tried the battery option. I use a walker and my mobility isn't real red hot. I think I'm going to take it back to the dealer the next time I'm in town and find me a good comfortable chair while they figure it out.
:)

Sounds like a plan. Ask them to try a master reset (disconnecting battery)

At your current temperature of 3 F (feels like -10), I would hope the dealer has a roaring fireplace and some cookies & hot chocolate to curl up with.

Mine has Starbucks Coffee and popcorn. TV channels are too limited however. lol.

Well, the MKX block heater works like a charm!

Was that standard equipment or add-on?

I don't have one and it would kind of take away the convenience of remote start.

Block heaters are a $90-100 option or included in some CDN packages. It's common to find new vehicles with OEM block heaters in northern tier states with severe winters.

Included as standard on ALL Canadian 2.7Ts.  The 'port' is kind of unsightly if you ask me.

Adam...have you ever noted any rationale for excluding the 3.7 engine?

I've been to the dealer and also spoke with the concierge but could not get a solution.  To answer above, the reset did reset but did not bring back the 'posted speed limit' box.

Meg, just out of curiosity, do you at least get the speed limit box in the lower right portion of the Nav screen?  The one in my Nav screen is identical to the one in the right instrument area display.

No, I don't get it on the Navigation screen either.  I don't have a clue why it disappeared, other than it wasn't there after the regular service done.  I'm don't feel techie enough to go messing with any of the settings to see if I can get it back that way.

No, I just figured it's best to get warm oil / coolant to the turbos as quickly as possible.  I've had block heaters on vehicles in the past, but they've always been nestled in the engine compartment.  If you are in the habit of using the heater, Ford's implementation makes it extremely easy for you however.

on the sync 3 thread I have a couple of posts on syncing my LG v20. basically - it won't sync. As for the rest of the sync3 (version 2.0 - the latest version whatever that is) I tried the soft reset with the power button and forward channel press, the key reset (more aggressive) and finally the dealer did a battery disconnect. Be advised the dealer told me it was a 10 minute disconnect. besides wiping out my saved navigation info, POI's and everything related to that, it didn't solve my LG problem. New V20 phone hasn't worked either so I have to conclude the phone and Sync3 don't play nice together. I have never lost that speed limit sign though. ironically it is behind the times though as highways that were 65 and changed to 70 still show 65. Dealer claims it is a third party that manages that.

Chris
