My new 2016 Lincoln MKX has speed related vibrations that the dealer could not resolve.  I took it to a tire dealer that I have used for several years and asked them to inspect the tires ands rebalance them.  They found that incorrect weights had been used (magnetic versus clip on) and all four wheels were out of balance.  After they rebalanced the wheels, the vibrations were still present.  They rebalanced the wheels and found that all tires have a hop and a side to side variance.  Following this re-balance, some residual vibrations remain.  Has anyone else experienced this situation?

I am having the same problem. All wheels have been Road Force balanced and are within acceptable limits. Vehicle going back to the Lincoln dealer on Tuesday for further diagnostic testing. Will advise of outcome.

Just got my MKX back from the dealer last week. After much testing, the technician found the vibration was coming from a bad rotor. Rotor was replaced under warranty and the vibration is gone.

I just picked up my new 2016 MKX August 19 fully loaded with 21 inch perelli's. Terrible steering wheel shake at almost all speeds. I know , I'm an idiot for not test driving the vehicle. Took back to dealer and they said it was a bad tire. The wheel shake is still present. Very bad at 30 mph and above. They said they force balanced all tires and road tested but the shake is still there. On the service receipt it said tire "flat spotted". The car was built in May and could have sat on dealer lot for 2-3 months. Back to the dealer again. Very frustrating 100 miles on the thing. Any thoughts?

Should not be that hard to fix. Worst case they should swap out the tires and wheels.

Someone posted something similar, turn out to be a bad wheel bearing...  on a brand new car.

Are the shaking issues more common with the 20 or 21 inch tires or both?
