The kit plugs into the taillight connectors on each side, so you have to remove the rear bumper and the taillights.   At that point you can just pull the trim back to get access to the powerpoint wiring and run the power wire from the left taillight to the powerpoint - pretty simple.

 

Are you sure you need extra lights with just a bike hitch?   I don't think my bikes cover up the taillights.

I am putting a cover over the bikes, since it will be winter up here in Canada and dont want my nice Carbon Fiber bikes getting ruined on the drive.
