Don't worry, dude.  Nobody is mad at you. Its all in fun.

I am getting about 19 a month, and  I spent most of my time (sadly) stuck in LA traffic.

Just a few additional comments;

1.  thisguy159   If you read my post you will see that even I said that it was useless.  I just like manipulate numbers when I have nothing better to do and thought it was interesting and fun.  No one is forcing you to read it and I personally do not need your snide comments.  Not to worry though, at the moment, I have not intention to update this post further.

Completely a joke don't take any offense.

That's one major downside.  the other is lousy visibility.

I don't hold either against the vehicle because I know about both issues going into the purchase.

I honestly didn't even consider to have looked into it.  Wrongly, I assumed that any vehicle this size could get to 350 mile range without a sweat no so in the MKX.  I love the vehicle so this is one of those things I can live with but i consider it the absolute worst thing about the car.

I can get 560KM (347 miles) but my 2013 was in the 625 KM (388 miles).

I guess the range was done at 60 mph on a flat surface in perfect conditions.

From Edmunds Specs:

The 2013 AWD had a 19 US Gallons tank, EPA rating of 17 City and 23 Highway (range of 323/437 miles)

The 2016 AWD has a 18 US Gallons tank, EPA rating of 17 City and 26 Highway (range of 306/468 miles)

What's with the suggestion to lie (or even circumvent the truth)...we get enough of that from Washington D.C.

With my 2.7, I average 21 mpg in daily suburban/rural use...my average highway fuel mileage never declines below 24-27 mpg at posted speeds even when on low elevation mountainous routes. I've obtained slightly over 31 mpg on coastal highway 101 where 50-55mph is the norm, i.e. folks are laid back and don't push you to exceed speed limits.

I think you meant mpg instead of mph.

The best I ever done with both MKXs was 9.1 KM/L (21.5 US Mpg), at 60 mph on Cruise Control on a flat highway with no traffic.

In comparaison my 2007 Odyssey (V6 - 3.5) did constantly ~ 13 KM/L (30.6 US Mpg).

That said, there lots of reasons I'm on my second MKX  :)

All models are listed at 17 City and 26 Highway.

The FWD has a combine of 21 while the AWD is down to 20.

From their brochure for the 2017:

FWD 17 and 25 (lost of 1 over the 2016)

AWD 17 and 23 (lost of 3 over the 2016)

That's not correct. You've got the FWd numbers for the 3.7 and the awd numbers for the 2.7. The actual numbers haven't changed. The link to the epa website is above.

From the EPA link supplied by walkabout:

From my 2013 to 2016, I lost 1 mpg for the city and 19 miles in range (smaller gas tank).

Not that it is critical, but I find it odd the fuel economy changed from 16 top 17. I didn't realize that estimates were revised from year to year (without major changes to the vehicle)

Even minor weight changes due to different option combinations and take rates or calibration changes can affect the window sticker mpg.   It's quite a complicated formula.
